I have read it but I am not in the position, nor do I really care to take the effort to see if the OPS SPEC specifically says 100 hours in type at the company or just generally 100 hours in type. Why would I waste any effort memorizing something that applied to me 4 years ago for a situation that I'd never see? I'm not the chief of training.

This. I know here at PDT we have had people with prior experience in both the ERJ and Dash come in. As far as I can see, they have all done the 100 cycles required despite their experience on either type. We have had a few new hires go back to upgrade training after SOE as a FO, but they will still do the required 100 cycles as captains after captain SOE.

Under this part, means under FAR 121. If you flew the aircraft under FAR 121 then you qualify. However each airline may choose a more restrictive approach and in that case, that will prevail.
