Theres many new hires at GoJetzz that are experiencing the bullcrap over there and are leaving to come to Mesa. I have flown with a few and they all think Mesa is a million times better. I'd sooner leave aviation, and mow peoples yards than go to Gojetzzz.

Really you think you can bash gojets being a wonderfully compensated Mesa pilot?

Tell me how those microtels are working out.

I don't know why is it so hard for people to believe an employer with a manning problem would make a habit of purposely checkering people's training records in order to make them less employable, especially with the layup of plausible deniability as having ownership of the training department is in the first place. I consider such a dynamic to be quite expected.

The question is, what's the over/under on checkride failures before you're considered unemployable by majors?

Of course, the question is, just like foreclosure crisis, if everybody has checkers in their record, is it a big deal anymore?

We all like to try and read the tea leaves, so I will give it today's try. If G7 had any long term plans would it treat people so badly? The changes that G7 needs to make in order to be a great place to work are minimal, yet they don't make the changes. Could it be because their plans are not long term?

Skywest has usually held its own with DL, but as I said earlier, the pilot shortage kinda screwed up their plans. Hard to seriously threaten to take away Skywest flying and give it to someone else when they are the only that can staff.

In days of yore, interviewers would ask if you had any check ride failures other than Trans States. Old Hulian trick for forced pilot retention/indentured servitude. Worked for awhile, guess he dusted it off for the next generation of fools....

I don't see anyone coming to Mesa, even from Gojet. The classes are not there. They are consolidating class dates, and instructors going back to the line is the word at HQ.

Kinda like the entire industry eventually. I see continued mergers of the regionals unless the Feds get involved and ban them (antitrust laws) etc. Just a hunch.
