GoJets must be getting desperate

Gojeters need to get used to not saying "thank you for flying United" and start saying, "thank you for flying American", or "thank you for flying the airline that you currently think you are flying."
Gojet just locked themselves into a long term low low pay contract. It will soon be at the bottom again. The airline can't staff the planes but what they can do is slowly shrink using the guys who they are able to lock in (I won't say how but most of you know.). Then they can raise the hiring bonus and keep paying the rest the low wages and benefits.

The DO has already left, last October. Gojet paid the bill for the wifi installation to try and make the planes more attractive to the public and therefore to United or another carrier. United is still dead set upon getting rid of the 700s for some reason. Not sure why the are keeping the 200s unless they are that much cheeper to fly?

The new DO was the CP, and is amazing to work with. Retired/ex-Navy that is a straight shooter, and will have your back as long as yout are straight with him. Ive personally seen him sick his neck out for the pilot group numerous times. The CP is a really cool guy to. Ive sat across from him at the bar a couple times, also a pilots kinda guy...
Long term, low pay contract? Who do you work for? The contract is only 5 years, with mandatory arbitration at DOS+4... Also, FOs start at 36.50 and top out at 46.59/hr at 6yrs. But upgrade is when you have the time, putting you at $70.49/hr.
This also doesn't mention that all reserves are assigned long call reserve, min 12.5 hr call out. Full cancelation pay, block times are set by the mainline partner and full deadhead pay starting next year.
G7 has statistically been around 550 pilots, and we are at 570 ish right now. We've hired about 30 more than we've lost this year.
So which low wages and benefits are you talking about?

You sound like an idiot with your agenda driven false information. I don't work at G7 but know plenty who do and almost every piece of information you said is false. Look at their new contract wonder boy!! I cant believe how people like you come on these forums and purposely lie to make themselves sound important. Its time you get a life and drop your vendetta.

Perhaps 3kids can explain to us "idiots" what makes the new contract so good? Each phrase that giveth has a later phrase that takes. Example is long term disability of 2/3 of your pay per month, followed by "up to 1000". So a captain making 6000 a month the 2/3 would be 4000 a month but with the small print it is lowered to 1000.
4 hours a day guarantee? No guarantee if you start after noon or get back before 5 pm. So a 4 day trip starting at 1 pm on day one and ending at 4 pm on day 4 has a guarantee of 8 hours. If memory serves me right. I feel bad for everyone there who remains and wish them all good luck.
