Wink A Note to all you West Coast peeps

Not sure how long it will last, but looks like our Ontario, CA base is going super super Junior, CA awards as junior as 05 hires!, Thought this was very interesting

I heard that today. I also heard that HR is telling new-hired that upgrades for them will happen in as low as 15-18 months in ONT......
I also heard that upgrades have a 50% failure rate.... sounds like it might be a good idea to raise minimums instead of hiring 500-hour whiz-kids.

hahah Yeah but once everybody at the company realizes how junior it really is, relatively senior FO's in CLE, IAH, EWR will bid ONT to Hold CA, ( If they were smart of course)

I agree. I have lots of guys at XJT telling me to come there and that upgrade will be under 2 years. I don't buy it.

I honestly cannot see upgrade at less than 3 years min for someone who got hired today. (unless the branded flying explodes and we see A320 and 170s in the next year...)

haah I agree, especially with the uncertainty of the future of the company, PIC turbine is king, so I imagine Upgrades will primarily continue in seniority order for the most part

ONT is crap, but it's a 50 min drive from Temecula (North San Diego Co.) which is a nice area with reasonable housing (for SOCAL).

You're right about that. I heard G6***'s celebrating today about holding captain in Ontario. It won't go that junior after everyone sees the prelim. results.
