Default application question

I have my application online with airlineapps.com and already meet some of the mins for some of the companies that I applied with (colgan/TSA). My current time is about 700TT/70 multi, I will have 100 multi in the next few weeks. I am wondering how long it takes for the "phone call", I am really excited and anxious to interview!!

I would send them the resume by email or fax, and then call them.
TSA dont even have time to check airlineapps.

Minimums may not be the same as competetive times. Depending on the airline, you might need 2500/500 to get called from a blind application.

To get in at the bare minimums you usually need to have someone walk your resume in, meet the recruiter at a job fair, or possibly just pester them a lot.

It wouldn't hurt to call and tell them you meet the mins and were wondering what competetive times are..that's a legit reason to call them, and they might just give you an interview.

I assume the only real way to get your application to the companies would be through airlineapps, since the format is all layed out per requirements. Other than that you hear people saying that they "waited 3 weeks before the phone call", is this 3 weeks after they published with airlineapps? The other way would be to fax and follow up, would one fax to HR? I have a lot of questions, it is coming down to crunch time!!

Oh yeah, another thing, is it worth while to get an electronic logbook for the computer to place all of my flight time in? If so how is the one that is offered through this website as a free download?

If you are early in your career an electronic logbook is well worth the money. The time it saves you filling out apps alone is worth it. I started late, at about 5000TT, and it was a ***** to transfer all the info. I'll never go back to the old way again though. I use Logbook Pro. I'm sure the one on here is good if APC is posting it.

There is simply no way to predict...it took about 6 months from the time a friend recommended me until I get an interview call at my first airline (when jobs were hard to find). At SKW right now if you know someone and have 121 time you can get called the same day.

Again try to get someone to walk your app in or try to find a good excuse to call them...there are probably a LOT of apps on file (usually thousands) and you need to call some attention to yours.
