Is it coincidence that Skywest increased first year pay to $36.50 the same day Republic declares

For any one that wants out now and might be interested in MESA Airlines, PM me your name and number so I can get your resume and I will have it on the Chief Pilots desk this week and I will get you an interview. We have bases in IAD, DFW, PHX, IAH. The company is flying CRJ 900s, 700s and the E175. Upgrade time is short. No it’s not the best company but if you show up on time they leave you alone. You can call me and I will answer any of your questions. It might be the right choice for you, it might not be.
Sooooo jump from one of the best contracts to THE worst? Makes perfect sense.

Dude, stop begging for referral bonus contacts. There is no interview at Mesa and you know it. Simply call 602.685.4000 ext. 54065, tell them your experience in aviation, and you will have a class date very soon.

Mesa gives their pilots 10k for every pilot they refer. Like anyone really needs their resume walked into the chief pilot to get hired at Mesa. He probably just wants the money.

If you don't have much seniority, a lateral move may make sense for you. But I would not jump right away; rather, take your time and see what happens. The pay will continue, the flying will continue.

Many saw this coming months ago, and it took this long to happen, so nothing terrible is going to happen overnight. In the end, I hope for every employee's sake that the BK ends up making RAH a better place for all of you. If it ends up not being a good place, and you are forced to move on to continue to support your families, then do so.

For all those who are posting the "I told you so" stuff, or talking smack and seeming flippant about their comments.... Re-read what you are about to post before you hit the SUBMIT button. If it is something you would want to read, while thinking about your own and your family's welfare, then by all means, post away. If, however, if would not encourage you while you are worried about your loved ones, perhaps you'd be better off posting in TOTD instead.

Best of luck to all of you RAH folks. It's going to be a bit rocky, moving forward, but do your best to move forward with a positive outlook. Life is not always easy, but your personal attitude can make all the difference in your day-to-day dealings. Keep your collective chins up.

this right here. this is how we treat our brothers and sisters.

You might want to look at their DAL CPA because I would bet there is a BK clause that allows either party to terminate the CPA if the other files BK.

On the other hand, we also are an airline with over 100 out-of-favor small jet and turboprop aircraft…out-of-favor with pilots and passengers alike.... As successful as our EJET fleet may be, it cannot continue to carry the dead weight of our idled aircraft.
That tells me they need to loose a few pilots, maybe 800.
