I personally think you'll be fine. The company will go after the scope in your contract and lease some of the airplanes that are suppose to be operated by RAH. You're progression to captain and off rsv may slow down due to a reduction in the fleet, but there may be guys bailing so that may offset some of the stagnation.

Seven U.S. carriers among the world?s most profitable airlines | | Dallas Morning News
What a scam. Not sure but don't they have mostly the E170 and 175's and fly for all three legacies? I wonder how that's going to play out considering those jets are what everyone wants.

Good luck to you guys. We may butt heads over where the flying goes for AA, but you guys were at least putting up a fight against the race to the bottom. We know exactly how bankruptcy feels here at Eagle.

Some people are less sensitive about this subject than others, sorry about that. The volatility in the industry as well as how commonplace bankruptcy's have become among airlines makes it somewhat of a laughing matter for some people as long as it's not their company.
As for what this means to you as a new hire, who knows? Pinnacle went bankrupt and now they're getting a 23k retention bonus with an interview program at Delta. It could be a poor outcome just as easily though, contract thrown out, loss of flying, etc.
In any case, none of that is going to be determined in the next week, month, or however long you have left in training. So for now, I would say just show up to training and do what you've been doing, get the type rating if you don't have it already and some experience on the line. Don't make any moves until you know more, which will probably be a while. If you've only been there 1 month, it's not going to hurt you to stay another month or so and have a successful training course completion on your record.

I stayed while others bailed.I ended up being furloughed, and couldn't find a job afterwards.
Do what you feel is best for your it's a gamble either way. But if I had less than a year in, going by what I went through before, I would hit that door NOW.It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better I promise you.Aag or anyone isn't going to buy Rah.They have codeshares with too many carriers, too much to sort through.

the first sign this would eventually happen, sooner than later, was the tanking of the stocks in August. Anyone that decided RAH after August, I dont feel sorry for you. You should have done your research, or better yet, JUST read the news.
I feel sorry for the 2 and 2+ year pilots for RAH. You guys worked hard, went thru sh***y pay, now that you guys have some seniority on your schedules and pay, you will need to go to the bottom of the barrel.
That sucks not only for you, because if RAH closes doors, there will be a lot of pilots out there, which gonna flood the "hiring market", making the "pilot shortage syndrome" fade away, which I hope does NOT stop the hike trend on pilots pay, across all regionals.
Just my 2cents

This was BB's plan all along, the only reason they conceded on the contract was because they knew they could just file Ch11 and have it thrown out in court by a judge. Back to the same ****ty contract, and back to business as usual. Management. Always. Wins.

I pray for my fellow pilots at Republc/Shuttle. I hope they don't come after your contract so that you can keep your QOL. I was at Colgan/ Pinnacle 2010-2014 so I saw the awesomeness of a new contract and then I saw my new QOL, post bankruptcy, which consisted of a downgrade, 2 displacements and FO reserve after 5 years. God will lead each of you in the right direction!
