Here are some numbers:

Combined Republic and Shuttle fleet:

190 E170/175
20 Dash-8
33 E145

Based on those numbers and a rough approximation of 10 pilots per aircraft (others more experienced please confirm this ratio), then eliminating all but the 170 fleet will require a total of 1,900 pilots on property for adequate staffing.

RAH's seniority list as of February has 2,109 pilots on property.

Sorry I haven't read this whole thread, BUT I wanted to share my experience. When I was coming back as a pilot (old Navy Pilot with 5 jet type ratings) and hadn't flown for a long time-my choices were limited and I was out of touch with the different companies, so I applied to most. Republics process was the WORST by far, they wanted me to be ready to interview over a 72 hour period whenever they decided to call, they were arrogant *******s and I decided to not take their calls, I just let them keep calling and calling. I later heard the HR director there (2014) was a Nazi and most lived in fear of her. I never met her but thats what I heard later. Sorry but not having Pilots is of their own making IMHO. I went to a company that had a relaxed time table to interview and it exampled a much better corporate culture too.

If, IF, these fleet numbers are right in the article, then Republic goes to 190 total aircraft after the 145s and Qs are gone. So that's 1,900 pilots. Not sure what staffing levels are currently at, but based on this, a furlough definitely isn't out of the question depending on how many jump ship now.

Based on what I just posted that would roughly be an excess of 200 pilots. Welp, guess I'm *********.

How many 170/175's do they fly for Delta. Will delta be mad enough just to get out if those too?? Im sure they are not happy with the E145's droping off quick... And the lawsuit..

Never say never but to assume that the E170/175's are safe - either via CPA's or staffing numbers - is a pipe dream right now. Major's won't be happy with RJET at all about CPA's being voided and renegotiated and pilots will be jumping ship as fast as they can.

I think they have slightly more E170/175s

105 American 170/175s

30 Delta 170/175s

+/- 58 United 170/175s?

Republic was replacing all their Qs with 50 new 175s, I think that 50 number was decreased. I'm sure what the final number is, maybe someone at Republic knows. Looks like Delta is their smallest E175 customer. I could see Delta attempting to take their E175s elsewhere. Maybe the 30 go to compass and Envoy takes the 20 AA Compass E175s back.

The majors can be unhappy all they want, they have no recourse other than recalling the flying back home. And that would be just fine.
