Make decisions that of course, work for you. Just don't jump the gun. The company might come out of this stronger, you just need to ride the inevitable waves that are coming. I jumped the gun and got out. I still question myself if that was the right or wrong decision...
That's good advice. I believe this bankruptcy will be surgical, very clean. No furloughs, no paycuts. Just need to rid themselves of Delta and some airplane leases, and some airplane options. But it is equally important to understand that the future isn't bright overall at Republic. In a few years they will be a shell of their current selves. There is no other way, nobody to fly these airplanes.

Its GREAT to know SOMEONE is modeling their business practices on the tenets of James the Just.

Its a sham BK anyway. If you look at their balance sheet, they aren't broke. Just ****ed they're losing money now on CPAs that they underbid because they didn't account for having to pay pilots a living wage.

Has anyone noticed Mesa already trying their hardest to poach RAH pilots? Go check it out. Basically now instead of calling you and giving you a date tomorrow, they will do it today!!!!

Doesn't Republic have a clause whereby if a pilot leaves the company they can come back in a certain period of time without losing seniority?

I agree it will probably be very bumpy, but we are only 4 hours into the announcement and you have fellow "professionals" on this forum telling people the sky is falling and to jump ship immediately and that they were stupid to take the job there in the first place.

There is so much that is still unknown and this process is just starting, nobody that is affected by this should be making any sort of decision until is either out of BK or nearly out. Only then will we know what the conditions will be and only then can anyone make any rational decision.
What he said. I saw many make emotional decisions and jump ship at eagle during the bankruptcy. Had they stayed it would be about time to start class at AA. Every situation is different but there's no reason to rush into a decision.

Do we know who will provide DIP financing for RAH in bankruptcy?

Whoever does will be telling of how this shakes out...

Hopefully UAL, my employer, does not.

Based on the filing it sounds like they won't take DIP financing and will use the cash on hand. Of course it is hard to say with bankruptcy but I'm sure we will learn more in the next couple of weeks.

That is a good thing, honestly.

RAH just has to hope that the 3 play along and pony up.
