I went through the bankruptcy at Pinnacle. I would highly recommend NOT acting rashly. Take your time. Things are going to be stressful and scary. We were told at the time that furloughs were only a week or two away. The week would pass and they would push back the furlough date another two weeks... in the end, they never furloughed.
Make decisions that of course, work for you. Just don't jump the gun. The company might come out of this stronger, you just need to ride the inevitable waves that are coming. I jumped the gun and got out. I still question myself if that was the right or wrong decision...

Doesn't Republic have a clause whereby if a pilot leaves the company they can come back in a certain period of time without losing seniority?

I do not currently work for Republic so it does not personally affect me. I do however know around 10 pilots there ranging from captains to new hires just entering training that it does affect. And even right now, It still remains one of my top regionals to go to, simply for the fact that I am from Pittsburgh and can base at home. But that could change in time.
I agree it will probably be very bumpy, but we are only 4 hours into the announcement and you have fellow "professionals" on this forum telling people the sky is falling and to jump ship immediately and that they were stupid to take the job there in the first place.
There is so much that is still unknown and this process is just starting, nobody that is affected by this should be making any sort of decision until is either out of BK or nearly out. Only then will we know what the conditions will be and only then can anyone make any rational decision.

Based on the filing it sounds like they won't take DIP financing and will use the cash on hand. Of course it is hard to say with bankruptcy but I'm sure we will learn more in the next couple of weeks.
