Go where you will be home based. My life at Republic is fine, as are the lives of many friends who are here too because we are home based.
Also I should add that you're probably over a year away from a regional, so give it time. Things can change quick. Bases open and close for example.
Take all the negativity you're going to get on this forum with a grain of salt. It's unfortunate but a lot of bad information is passed around and moderators are nonexistent. Best of luck.

On the American side, there is Envoy, PSA, and Piedmont
On the Delta side there is Compass and Endeavor (I think)
United doesn't have any.
The demise of Republic and Skywest, two of the biggest contract airlines, will be epic. Most can't see it right now, but mathematically they just can't survive unless something big changes with their ownership.

Way too many ERAU kids who chose airlines based on equipment. That should be the last thing you consider. I'd put money that most everyone in class at Republic right now is a ERAU grad that chose a **** airline just so they could fly an E175.

When you went to visit their graduating class, what was your advice to them?

You can get hired with 1430 TT. If you hustle that's 8 months from now. Hustle.
Pick a non commuting regional job. If that gives you several options pick the one that appears to have the quicker upgrade.
You're trying to predict the future in 2-5 years. If you've got that nailed what stocks should I be buying?

I actually don't really care what plane i fly, I just eventually want to fly for a major like united or delta. But I figured if 2 airlines are relatively the same upgrade and time being there why pick a 50 seat jet opposed to a 76 seat jet. I'm new to this so I'm probably wrong 😂
