On the Delta side there is Compass and Endeavor (I think)
United doesn't have any.
The demise of Republic and Skywest, two of the biggest contract airlines, will be epic. Most can't see it right now, but mathematically they just can't survive unless something big changes with their ownership.

Let's say you go with ExpressJet....well, you're going to start at the bottom of a pilot group of 3500. How quick do you think your seniority will progress? (tortoise slow) How many years do you figure you'll be on reserve? (1-2 years compared to 1-2 months at other places) I've heard of Expressjet pilots who were stuck there for 6-8 years on the right seat with no end in sight, so they had to go to a regional with more movement. Do they have a good contract? Sure! but lol for crying out loud.
First year pay may not be an issue for you, since you said your dad works at UAL - I am sure he'll help out and support you, but for a lot of people it is. 1 year ago, regionals used to pay $21-$25/hour. Today, they're paying $23-$40 an hour for first year. You can see where the trend is going.
If you constantly read these forums, you'll see that most people here no matter where they work will usually point new guys towards a few select regionals that are currently experiencing good movement, a good (new) contract and incresed pay or bonuses. They are (in no order of preference) - Skywest, Compass, Endeavor and Piedmont. The ones most want you to stay away from are: Republic, Mesa, Envoy and ExpressJet.
Oh and, I get you want to fly a commuter jet with UAL colors like your dad but, get your priorities straight first and then worry about the color of the paint scheme. Good luck...

Commute Air has some association with UA. You get an interview with United if you go to work there. They have some decent work rules too. Live where you want to live. Bases come and go, airlines merge, or are sold. A lot will change in a short amount of time due to retirements and crappy pay Fee for Departure airlines offer.
