Literally everywhere else in the entire world, and it isn't a CRJ either, it's a 737 or A320. I had some students get into 75s, 76s, and one a 777 with ~200 hours.

It's really quite simple. The reason it isn't is not because of capitalism per se. It's all the over-regulation.
Deregulating has never been the answer. Lack of regulations is why the Cuyohoga River in Cleveland, Ohio caught on fire and burned for a week. Deregulation is how the 2008 recession happened. Deregulation is one of the major reasons we are all stuck here at regionals making a fraction to do the same job as our mainline cohorts. Unfettered Capitalism is wreckless and dangerous.

Lemmings will always flock together. That isn't an endorsement.

Moron.

I LOL'd. Typical liberal. Disagree with a liberal and you must be "xyz".
And you're a typical conservative who thinks all liberal ideas are uninformed and moronic. That's called hypocrisy. Why, because you used to work in finance, you think you know best? And I can assure you that I am just as educated and possibly more so than you. There are people with PhDs that agree with me. That doesn't make my opinion wrong.

There. You said it yourself.

And what has been the corresponding offset to consumers (ie. the public) as a result of deregulation?

Lower ticket prices/costs.

You are the moron who thinks you can have your cake and eat it too....just like all entitlement-minded, uneducated idiots who have no true understanding what capitalism is or how it works (much less what "free markets" really mean).

Here's a hint: if it's regulated, it isn't a free-market. And if it's not a free-market, you can't point at it and say it doesn't work.

Idiot.

That must mean they're right, eh, because they have PhDs?

You are a kool-aid swilling lemming who spews uninformed, trite pablum like "unfettered capitalism".

Move to North Korea. You'll be more at home there.

Here, this is you...Tom Tuttle of Tacoma, WA...start @ 1:00

Don't confuse unfettered capitalism with with crony capitalism...basically you have corrupt government still behind the wheel. This is different from free markets.

You don't need to fly anywhere. There are millions of Americans that will never set foot on an aircraft and still lead normal lives. You can also drive.

However, I suggest that life is quite necessary to most of us and is a legitimate need. You'll pay anything to live.

There's no comparison.

The want of a long, healthy life is a desire, Mike, not a need.

There is no comparison.

This. If someone came to you and said, you'll die next year unless you pay me $200k, every single person will pay that sum. Oh wait, sorry, it's $400,000 now. Not a single person would turn that down. Even if there were infinite supply, the health care industry can charge whatever it wants because life has no monetary value and there is no price someone wouldn't pay to continue to live. That's not right.

Life isn't a need? People don't have a god given right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happines? So, now life is only for the rich? If you are poor, you only get 25 years.
