Default Winter Storm 2016

Just thought I'd post a thread about how you and your airline is doing during the storm. Anyone stuck?

Tons here at PSA are stuck everywhere, but the company has for once been somewhat kind and provided hotels to those stuck in base.

Hope everyone out there that is stuck is keeping warm, having a good time, and not stranded with an awful crew. Fly safe during this everyone!!!

What winter storm. It's sunny with a high of 75 here in Phoenix.

This is very true. This the first time in two years the company has given me a hotel in base during a cancellation in base.

Republic has canceled flights through Sunday. The only wrinkle is Delta in DCA, as Delta says they want to "wait and see" about whether the storm merits cancellations there.

Almost as much as it sucks to be based east of the Mississippi. But hey to each their own

Yes sir! I got out of town a few days ago to SXM just before. Heading back home on Spirit now. Love those guys. Cannot say enough about em. Damn near every airline requires a ZED Fare Intl unless I'm listed as an R2 on AA (only because we sorta work for them). Obviously coming home on AA is NOT happening.

To be honest it's really stupid non rev Intl travel between US Airlines (who all participate in CASS/reciprocal agreements etc) is such a pain in the ass. Thank god for Spirit. Logged in said I was jumpseating, paid my taxes and was done. Showed up to
the counter and had my ticket (seat already assigned) and bag checked in less than 5 minutes.

Not to hijack the thread, but can anyone explain this crap? Tried to get to SXM originally on Delta, but couldn't without a ZFare. Spirit obviously could care less (kudos) and maybe there are others, but why is it such a pain to catch rides on US Airlines Internationally? Thanks
