I'm in need of information, and I'm turning to apc for the answers. I wanted to get some feedback from actual pilots currently at these airlines. I'm approaching the 1,500 mark and feel further away from actually making it to the regionals than ever before. Mainly because I’m so uncertain as to where to go. I’ve interviewed at TSA and have gotten a conditional. However I’m also looking at compass and republic as options. I plan to stay as close to Florida as possible so that’s why I like TSA (possible Raleigh) and Republic for MIA. Compass from what is seems is a better company, however I hate the idea of living at or near any of their bases. I don’t plan on commuting at first, but see myself trying it once I’ve gotten my foot in the door and learn how things work. I’m looking for any information about current working conditions at these companies, the good, the bad, and the ugly

But my situation is unique! I'm a unique butterfly. I need personal attention!

Imperial IPA. If you like blondes, you'd love that. Or maybe a nice stout.

Well we can go ahead and scratch one of those airlines off your list, OP. You say you don't like the idea of living in any of CP's bases, and I can't imagine commuting to any of them from Florida. That pretty much knocks Compass out of the running.

I'm a TSA FO. PM me any questions you have about it and I'd love to tell you about it.

That there is your first mistake.

I strongly recommended that you meet/talk to pilots at the respective airlines and avoid searching out quick and easy answers from an internet mob. Your comparison is too subjective and broad to get an adequate answer.

If you don't PLAN on commuting, you're in for a terrible rude awakening. It's the nature of the beast.

Raleigh is a 2 leg commute from FL. TSA and RAH may offer you one leg commutes but they won't be short and you may find yourself having to either come in the night before a trip/reserve period starts and leave the day after a trip/reserve period ends because I don't think some of their bases have high frequency flights (I could be wrong). I chose PSA because I live in FL and their CLT base is an easy 1-leg commute. Been here less than a year, holding a 90 hour credit line in December. Ymmv but if you want to stay in FL, your options may be limited if you still want something resembling decent qol.
