I wonder if Alaska is this obsessed (and wrong about) his ex girlfriends as he is with his ex employer. It is a very unhealthy lifestyle. Let it go. And I find it hilarious that you think Delta can only do what they want with 9e now that they are wholly owned. They can do whatever they want with any of their code share partners. They have them all by the balls.
I hope to continue to enlighten you with my obsession in the 9E topic. I'm not going anywhere so stay tuned mr IBpilot. I have lots more to say.
It's tough for some the leftovers at 9E, especially the ones with no future outside of 9E, to realize they should have gotten out when they had the chance. Fact is that delta wholly owned carriers never come out on top...never ends well. The agreement between the completely worthless alpa and the company for the 81 planes is a joke because alpa is the epitome of worthless.

Comair was shutdown, not spun-off.
The question was if we believed that 9E would be sold.
No one that works here is naive to believe that there is zero chance of a Comair, but DL will pay in court if they broke the fleet guarantee. It's the first of its kind and it's between ATL and Endeavor pilots.
To the original poster - if you want to come here then great! If not, good luck. We are filling classes easily. It's hard to find good information here on APC because you have guys like Alaska, who only want you at CPZ to improve their QOL. QOL at every regional sucks! Just pick the airline that is best for you and your family. Take care!

With the integration that has happened over the last 18 months, it would be a very difficult separation for 9E from the DL "backbone". The vast majority of systems are integrated, mainly in OCC, now benefits. HR and payroll were the first pieces integrated. It's a subsidiary only by titles. Books are aligning to DL, major functions are DL, DL managers running the show, and DL runs the show overall yielding performance exceeding DL mainline metrics in the most difficult hubs... Which historically were the "kill zones". Any separation would require tremendous effort/cost and negative outcomes to overall performance at this point.

Sure, but please feel free to argue about which regional is going to step in and fly 97 of those 50-seaters when SkyWest takes their ball and goes home. Actually, and this should be easier, lets figure out who is going to step in and replace 31 E-145s when Republic can't staff that anymore. Deal?

Right now oil is cheap so they're not in a hurry to get to that number, whichever one it may be
