Default Question for CRJ drivers

Since the CJR shares a common type between the 200, 700, and 900, how do you fill out the make/aircraft model portion of your log book to differentiate between the three? I've been putting just CL65 but am not sure this is right.

Just leave it alone but go digital. When you go digital, you can differentiate.

Maybe he wants to go to emirates....maybe not. Either way you can't fault him for being thorough.

If it's important to separate, I'd put CR2, CR7, CR9....
CL65 is the type, not the make model.

I also differentiate by using blank columns available in the logbook. The weight distinction may be important to some carriers, especially foreign.

I use CRJ7 or CRJ9.

On the digital logbook side I use LogTen. Once you add an aircraft type you can make notes about that aircraft. I just added "all CL-65 time is CRJ-900" since that is the only CRJ I operate for my carrier.

In my paper log book I log my CRJ time as CRJ2, CRJ7, and CRJ9. I fly all three. In my electronic log book LogTenPro I created three different types 1 for each all them having the model CL-65. So when I run a report it breaks my time down for the 2,7, and the 9.
