Duty, number of legs, minimum rest between duty, and report time is what makes you tired. Flight time doesn't matter when the others are limited. That is why the FAA went with those conclusions. Science backed it up.

That doesn't mean you are working more. Old rules: 90 hour duty in 7. New rules: 60 hour duty in 7.

One of the better parts of 117 is 10 hours of rest behind the door.
No reduced rest. I think this is the MOST important aspect of the new rules.
The circadian and FDP rules are nice but can be a bit difficult to decipher.
The FDP extension needs to go away because it is exploited on a regular basis by CS.

Actually you could work more under the old rules. You may think 90 hours of duty is less than 60 hours of duty, but in the real world, 90 is greater than 60.

That's your company's fault. They can use you more efficiently now and have not yet adapted to the new rules.
