The truth hurts....
The PSA tropical storm is being upgraded to hurricane status and despite their best efforts the truth can't be hidden anymore.
FOs upgrading out of seniority order creating the potential for a good ole' fashioned *** storm down the road.
Aircraft delivery slowing...
No flow, only 4 interviews per month
20 year wait before even getting to interview...
Their management pilots admitting in public that they don't care if their pilots are unable to fly visual approaches
Not to mention their pilot's seemingly bizarre notion that they are immune to reductions in flying, base closures, and the resultant displacements....things which every single other airline goes through at least every other year...
PSA pilots as of late:
On a serious note: for those of you who are still junior at PSA (chrisreedrules) don't get mad. I implore you to reflect on your decision and possibly make a move. We joke and poke at each other on this forum but all of this is deadly serious. Think about your long term career and realize that PSA's fake "quick upgrade" is not what is needed for you to get to mainline. A true flow means more these days than any PIC time....remember that at Envoy you can flow to AA as an FO. If you don't believe me, go look at the "who's been hired" thread on the Major forum. You think PIC time will help you get to Delta or United? Yeah, you and every single other Regional Captain and LCC pilot also has PIC time. Good luck with that....and next to military pilots with IP time it means NOTHING unless maybe you are on the friends & family plan.
Street hires at AA are strictly military at this point with a token amount of family...usually also military pilots. Envoy is 30/month and/or 50% of each class...that is largely the only way in to AA for civilian guys like us. Delta? Good luck...especially if you don't have a 4.0 GPA in rocket science and graduated in 4 years (only a slight exaggeration I assure you) and United is the same except for the high GPA requirement. The bulk of their new hires are also military....that leaves a token amount of civilian guys per month. You think you and 10,000 other pilots all with PIC time competing for the same position will get you in the door faster than a flow? Nope. Soon Delta will also establish a flow..possibly with Endeavor. It's the way of the future.

In a few years it won't matter what your GPA or background is, the only way to get to AA will be through Envoy, PDT, or PSA. If you want to go to AA go to a wholly owned carrier that has a base where you live or is the easiest commute, all of this other stuff is flame bait.

He does spend a lot of time writing really long campaign adds for Envoy, if he isn't a recruiter he certainly has no life.
