The loser of the special Olympics. But things change. Doesn't mean go join the worst, but you gotta make an educated guess at who who'll be the best for the next 3-5 years.
Well let's chat in a year, because it isn't going to change a lot even in that time!

Is block or better off to on time or parking brake, or what?

Block time. Isn't that an industry standard term? Do you not use that at your airline? Doors closed/parking brake off to door open. Out to in. The first time on the acars to the last time on the acars. The time that goes in your logbook. The first O to the I in OOOI. You know, block time. The only people who care about off to on is the Air Force since that's how they log. I don't think any airline pays off to on.

At one point Mesa did I believe. There were a few others.
I know block but there are different understandings of it.
Originally, "block" was the time the chocks got put in.

Still is, hence the terms blocking in and blocking out. I've never heard of different understandings, just different parameters that trigger the acars to record and send out/in times (now we can't hand paperwork through the galley svc door tricking the system).

Air Wisconsin has full cancellation pay and full DH (deadhead) pay. The caveat here is that if you cancel and then are reassigned something else (it can happen, depending on legality) you will get paid the greater of cancelled work or actual flown work, if that makes any sense. But the bottom line is that yes, you get paid if something cancels. Sometimes a turn will cancel and you just sit at the airport for your next flight. You will get 100% pay for the cancelled flight in this case.

And a deadhead flight is when you fly as a passenger and are on duty. When you move a company airplane it's a repositioning flight or a ferry flight, depending on whether or not it's a maintenance flight. At Air Wisconsin the difference has no bearing on your pay.

Leg-by-leg cancellation pay what you want and superior to trip cancellation pay. Gojet, Mesa and Republic do not have leg-by-leg or trip cancellaton pay. Gojet doesn't even have block or better. Compass has trip cancellation pay and most other regionals including PSA and Trans States have cancellation pay on a leg-by-leg basis.

XJT has full cancelation pay, min day pay, 100 percent DH, and trip rig (min 15 hours for a 4 day). I dont understand the point of 50 percent deadhead pay (if I'm on duty i want my pay) Also how are the S5 peeps fairing with the 30+ flights getting cancelled?
