Well,
Shuttle pilots no longer have to carry flight bags and are ipad only approved this week and a new TA to vote on is seemingly very close according to the union. However, yesterday a company newsletter went out stating that the new 175's that were suppose to go to Shuttle are now going to Republic due to Delta extending the agreement to fly the 145's. How long before Shuttle's EWR base closes and EWR becomes strictly a Republic base?

Here is your answer about how things are at RAH, 80 flights canceled yesterday. 80 happy crews with lost income because we have an old POS contract with no cancellation pay. 56 flights today canceled. We are leading the world in daily cancellations, almost every day. I have to fight with crew pay every paycheck to get paid properly. 15+ years here and i got hosed on the 30th with a $55 paycheck....that covered half of my groceries. Applications have been out for years, and I have had 3 interviews recently, just waiting for the good news.
I beg you all stay far far far away from here.

If that's what you want, and have no guts to strike, SUFFER!!! And don't complain on websites.
RAH is making a joke out of exploiting pilots. Period.

That's exactly what you should tell every single pilot that wants to interview there. No contract because of weak ass union menbers who want their number at a major.

Spike,
It wasn't a bad place to kill time till something better came along. Things started to go sour in 2005-2006 time frame imo. My health insurance is currently $500 a month now when it was originally $50-70. I know people who were given occurances while on maternity leave/IFMLA. If you call in fatigued and the company don't like your reason they give you an occurance.
I have been actively pursuing other jobs and applying like a madman since 2007-2008 timeframe and haven't been lucky so far.
