i agree, but i dont know what would happen to the colgan pilots if we merged. I'm sure it wouldnt be a one for one deal. union at colgan might happen once the family is out of the picture. They have kept the union out for 40 years. I have no idea what the current contract says for pcl pilots, so i dont know how it would help or hurt the colganites. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

I'm sure the Saab factor was part of it. As was also mentioned in the PR, turbo-props are making a resurgence in the market and PCL decided they'd still like to play in that arena.
I just think it's BS that they're keeping seniority/benefits/pay separate between companies. I refuse to become a whipsaw to lower the bar for the PCL pilots in contract negotiations. I'm all for an ALPA vote at Colgan immediately. We need to merge and vote as one to avoid being played against one another.
I'll quit before I'll work for an airline that's used like GoJets against its sibling company.

Pinnacle is planning something with us. There have got to be majors out there that want a big turbo prop company to fly some stuff for them...
Lets look at all the big TP operators...
Colgan- now owned by PCL Holdings.
Mesaba- now owned my Northwest
Piedmont- owned in whole by US Airways Group
Eagle- owned by American Airlines
Skywest- dedicated to United flying
Pinnacle is one of the only available ones that has aircraft with no routes to fly.

I'm with you, I've been complaining about no union since day one here.
