Im not saying pinnacle will get it all, but what i am saying is that maybe skywest wont get anymore. I think Delta wants to dig deep with their partners. to prevent what happened with comair a while back. Skywest is just getting to much of their flying and we all know how delta doesn't like having one regional doing a majority of its flying.
OK, I see your logic. Time will tell.

Its not just a 9e thing or a skywest thing. We just got back 17 planes and are struggling to keep them staffed, so its not like we can take on anymore. and its not about quick upgrades, like i said in a previous post we have about 1300 on the seniority list, and 880 or so was just awarded a captain upgrade. what i am saying is as long as there are people who are willing to sell the career short so they can MAYBE get something in return is just crazy. Thats why we have been fighting for a contract for almost 2 years. First it was nwa wont talk till we have a deal,, we said no deal. then it was we are losing flying for other airlines because we dont have a deal,, we said no deal. Then it was nwa has signed a contract with us good till 2017 but they can take planes if we dont have a deal by march, we said no deal. Standing up and Taking one fore the team, is a lot better than bending over and taking one for the team

we will know when we sign a contract that isn't concessionary, gives us what we want, and we still get the flying. NO PILOT GROUP HAS EVER AFFECTED WHAT AN AIRLINE GETS. thats it. NWA, Delta, Continental, have all said,, "we will pay you x amount of dollars to do this flying and not a penny more" so then the regionals figure out how to low ball everyone so they can see how much money they will make at the expense of driving everyone down. A LESSON IS TO BE LEARNED.. THERE IS A HIGH PRICE FOR LOW COSTS

True, that's life when you're depend on others. Best of luck with your contract! Hopefully one day we can get a TA and not a policy.

remember my friend its not luck. Luck is when preperation meets opportunity! We all know 9e wants to grow, but we wont give in to a crappy contract. So they pretty much have one choice!

and yes i would love to see Skywest get a TA,, i would say i have about 30 guys i know flying for skywest, you know old instructor buddies, students,, from psp, to ord and everywhere inbetween. thats why i said one of my friends, who has been there about a year said in new hire they promised him all this stuff, and he got a 23 cent an hour raise... less than thrilled as you can imagine

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does 9e own their a/c? Most of the posting I read make it out be NWA a/c on lease. If so how would they feel about 9e using their a/c for a competitor?

thats whats funny, we dont own a single plane!!! They wont let us use them for a competitor so that is why "i believe" delta made the order they did, because they would have to supply the planes we fly for them. whereas skywest i believe owns their own planes. as do most other regionals.
