The pilots are using the regionals just like the regionals are using the pilots. There is no self respect. Its get your time and get out. We know this and they know this. The faster you get out, the better. Sounds better to me then constantly fighting to get an extra dollar and not knowing when delta or whoever will take your flying. Until you can get out though, hold the ****ing line! In the mean time, I'm going to do whatever I can to get the hell out of the regionals. Besides, if the regionals are anticipating high attrition due to mainline hiring, what incentive do they have to raise our pay and such? And don't say pilot shortage. They are just going to drag out contract negotiations until that start happening. I'm sure Expressjet is loving the now 4.5 year negotiations. The second upgrade times drop considerably and hiring is steady, there will be pilots suddenly coming out of the wood work
