Default SKW Inc. Allocation of 12 CR7's

SKW Inc. decided, on December 20, to give 8 of the 12 CR7’s (formally Comair) to ASA and 4 to SKW (press release can be found on SKW website). I am very curious about this decision. It seems to me that if SKW closed ASA's SLC domicile and intends on SKW flying all those routes; that it only makes since to give all 12 Delta RFP CR7's to ASA as well as any F9 flying SKW Inc may receive.

Jerry is an extremely brilliant man and I will not pretend to know what he intends on doing in the long run but I wish he would pit his hand a little more. With Jerry’s history of brilliant moves and absolute success, I as well as 95% of SKW believe that what ever he decides to do will strengthen both airlines futures.

I have several friends at ASA and I wish them all the best.

I am guessing that the 70 routes that are ASA's out of SLC will be given to SKW and flown with the 900's that they are getting. ASA's 70's will be moved to LAX and ATL. There is a huge need for more lift out of ATL. There will be many announcements in the next six month about flying out of ATL to points South.

Wow JetJock, thats the biggest kool-aid mustache I have seen in a while... Jerry's real brilliance is in tricking you SkyWest guys into flying 70 and 90 seaters for your old 50 seat rates.

Smoking too much? Your short term memory seems to be gone seeing you’re off topic.

Last I check we voted in a new pay proposal that will increase our pay on the 70/90 by 6%. There's no trick, we're non-union, and that means "At Will Employment" for those who don't know. If you need more of a lesson on unions search previous threads on the subject. Until then, get a clue!

Not sure what you're trying to say... If you guys did get a 6% raise for the 70/90 seaters, I apologize. Brings you guys about in line with Mesa for 3yr CA pay on the 900. Good on you.

Not sure what you're getting at with the whole "non-union, at will employment" BS. I mean I understand the words, just not how they really apply here. Union employees are "at will" employees too except that the only person who can terminate my employment for no reason is...ME! I would argue that it is YOU who need the education on unions. You should hear some of the things the XJT guys who did short "tours" at SKW after 9/11 have to say. Most got their butts back here as soon as possible.

Before I started doing some research I always thought I wanted to go to SkyWest. I learned. Now the only thing I'm still not sure about is why you guys are so arrogant...

I think your statement is not quite right. I do not know the exact QOL at Skywest, but people do not complain about the QOL at Skywest as much as Mesa.

What I meant to say, is this is going to potentially lead to that type of treatment, its Slippery Slope effect, they let one thing go, then everything else will follow

Yup, us skywest pilots are just a bunch of *****s dragging the industry down. Get a clue--you don't work here, you have NO idea what the QOL is like or you'd never make a comparison to Mesa's QOL.

I'm not a huge fan of the 70/90 seat rates, but to act like we're "going sown <sic> the shi***" is pretty far out there if you're familiar with the company.
