Like I said, I'm not a huge fan of the 70/90 seat rates. I don't fly them, don't plan on it, but I don't think that they're going to be the root cause of the demise of the airline industry.

Not sure what you're getting at with the whole "non-union, at will employment" BS. I mean I understand the words, just not how they really apply here. Union employees are "at will" employees too except that the only person who can terminate my employment for no reason is...ME! I would argue that it is YOU who need the education on unions. You should hear some of the things the XJT guys who did short "tours" at SKW after 9/11 have to say. Most got their butts back here as soon as possible.

Before I started doing some research I always thought I wanted to go to SkyWest. I learned. Now the only thing I'm still not sure about is why you guys are so arrogant...
I have NEVER met an Ex-SkyWest pilot who was disgruntle or did not like the airline and I've met many. I personally feel that you’re making up the story to strengthen your position. Why do I say that, read your postings and you'll see how big of a joke you are. Arrogant? Take a look in the mirror; it's you who are calling yourself better than us not the reverse.

This thread was meant to get ASA pilots talking about the positive future, not XJT pilot wiping out there tiny DI*KS. Get real guys, I have no beef with XJT but apparently your afraid of our 34+ years of success and profit that is obviously continuing. Yes, 34+ years of absolute success and profit, your company can’t even hold a candle to that, seeing that XJT was founded in 86 (SKW 72). If you do your research you’ll see that SKW is consistently one of the most profitable regionals. Posting Q profit that exceed XJT and that’s with out adding in ASA’s numbers.

SKW will never be like Mesa, history with Jerry has proven that.

It's time you did some research. XJT was not founded until April 2002. Before that we were Continental Express, a wholly owned company of Continental Airlines. Before that we were 5 different airlines.

I'm puting my DI*K away now.

It seems to me that if SKW closed ASA's SLC domicile and intends on SKW flying all those routes; that it only makes since to give all 12 Delta RFP CR7's to ASA as well as any F9 flying SKW Inc may receive.

Jerry is an extremely brilliant man and I will not pretend to know what he intends on doing in the long run but I wish he would pit his hand a little more. With Jerry’s history of brilliant moves and absolute success, I as well as 95% of SKW believe that what ever he decides to do will strengthen both airlines futures.

I have several friends at ASA and I wish them all the best.
Skywest can't handle all the growth at once. Especially with the MidEx flying and the Northwest 900s on the way

Saab, WOW, I though you would learn. Stop posting your ignorance. QOL? PAY? Man, maybe you should do a little research before you post next time. Yes our 90 seat rate is 1 or 2 dollars better then Mesa's but we blow them away on the 50/70 and Dash. They get 50% deadhead, no cancellation pay, average 7-12 days off, can get JR manned at a moments notice, plus many other travesties. We have 100%, a full pay for cancellations, and I have yet to meat a pilot who doesn't average 14 days off, I average 15-17. At SKW if you get 10 days off or less it’s because you bid it. Oh, I forgot, SKW can't mandatory JR man you. Add to it many other QOL policies and you'll see that your statement truly shows your ignorance.

Are we the BEST in the industry, NO.? Obviously Horizon and your new contract are better than ours, but remember this industry is cyclonic and Jerry has proven that he wants to remain at the top, both as an airline and an employer.

I beg to differ, especially considering the fact that my company only flies 50 seaters, but hey I am glad that you are happy, just don't cry when Uncle Jerry IMPOSES a pay cut on you someday when United come and says your too expensive. Don't think that will happen? Ask any ACA or AWAC guy about that.

Yes, I am very interested in a positive relationship between ASA and SKW pilots so that we can continue to build toward our future. Jerry will continue to lead us with great success; he has proven that he is more about the airline’s success then his own. If you look at our administrative cost you will see that it is among the lowest. Jerry doesn’t pay himself to the point that he drains his airline of profit.
