I think someone needs to quote the thread where she claims she got the job cuz she is female. I think i remember seeing somewhere else her saying that she doesn't think that is why she got the job.

I can't wait to wake up in the morning and see where this thread goes!!!

No she didn't. It appears that way but when you read the post slowly, that is not what she said but you guys all think we got our jobs with 300 TT and a private pilot's license anyways so what's the use in arguing?

Let's not be ridiculous!! I would say that the general concensus thinks it took about 3000 hours + and no less luck than it still takes today to land that dream job, regionals obviously not being close to that.

I do not at all want to undermine Hotmama's accomplishment's, but we would all be very foolish to think that being a female in this industry doesn't have its advantages, and won't get you ahead of many other more qualified people. I mean the government admits to that, they call it affirmative action.

Well, apparently it took me 5 years of applying at UPS and FedEx (never did interview at FedEx) to "get ahead" of all the white guys that knew someone in management. Of course, it's ok to get ahead with less experience than someone else if you are a guy and know the right person right?
We might not get so defensive about it if some guys didn't throw it in our face every chance they get.

Proper spelling and proper grammar are signs that someone is well-educated and intellegent. These are helpful when flying.
