Default A call to the APC community

ExpressJet just did a remarkable thing voting down concessions. Our fellow aviators at American Eagle are facing a tough decision of their own as they have been threatened with Comairing.

I request each of you at your respective companies to update the APC data so that everyone has access to up to date pilot staffing numbers.

The Comair threat only works if there are bodies to fly the planes. Myself and many others believe the manpower doesn't exist to replace Eagle.

Please, update the total pilot counts on every regionals page and please post your current rate of attrition and how many new hires you are getting per month if you know what they are.

At Endeavour we have 2033 pilots on the list They want to hire 30 a month. We had our first New hire class in Jan with 4 New hires and 1 of those 4 had to leave for personal reasons. We have been losing around 25-30 a month.

There just are NOT as many people out there learning to fly in hopes of doing it professionally to keep the inflow of warm bodies to the regionals coming in as there USED to be. Outright fact....

With retirements eventually spooling up at the majors in the following years, things will start to grow rather entertaining.

Thank you, can you take a moment to update the airline's profile page?

Ok, that is the past when there was zero movement at the majors. I'm trying to look at what we can expect in the future, as an industry, in a mathematical way.

Compass now has about 545 pilots (not 575), obviously our attrition will be different here soon but I think it is typically around 4 month normally. Still filling classes and have hired around 100 since July.
