I had my resume in for almost a month and it just said "screening". So, I just reapplied with my new info and changed my email and password. I got the email days later with an interview date. They got the info from the new application. It is a bad system they have and I don't know why this works, but just reapply. It will probably work for you as well.

So why did you choose ASA of XJT? Just curious.

I had gotten disqualified, reapplied the same day and I think about a week later got the email. But has anyone who got the email gotten a response back because I chose next Monday for the interview date and still no call or email?

Like I said I still have students here to work with. 10 more. I'd like to finish them up then move on. It's just that if they pass me up I'd like to know why and what i need to work on.

They put you up at the holiday inn. They cut you a per diem check about the 2nd week. Dual occupancy. You room with your partner.

Well...I think you can ask to wait 3 months and they will probably say "yeah, sure, you can reapply in 3 months". Why would you apply if you weren't ready to move on? If you are really that committed to finishing your students why not just wait and apply when you're ready?

I'm not sure what in the name of all that is good and holy would make you want to do that What are you going to do? Get up at 5am, get the 6am flight to IAH (assuming it isn't canceled or delayed, Colgan's reliability is not stellar not to mention you are not eligible for the jumpseat if the flight is full) Sit in class from 8am-5pm (yes, class is everyday M-F). Catch the 6pm flight home and go instruct at 7pm? When did you plan on studying, eating, sleeping or pooping? Assuming you make it through ground school, how do plan on doing the sims when your schedule goes all screwy? I think the short answer to your question is WTF ARE YOU THINKING!?!?! If you aren't ready to leave your current job, DON'T!

I didn't know class schedule. I didn't know if it was twice a week or five days a week at that point in time. That's why I asked if I could just hop. However now that I know I realize I'd just stay there.

Why apply if you aren't ready to move on? Because I've never heard of a job where you apply, get called, get hired so quickly. My sister is high up in IBM. She didn't start there. But it took around 4 months for them to process her applications and do multiple interviews. Why did I apply early? Because I hear of people that didn't get a call for a couple months. I don't know what you did but I only have one job and this is it. I have bills and rent to pay. I'm not going to be a fool and wait till the job is over so I can pay all my moving expenses to leave this town, then sit on my arse for 3 months with no job waiting on the phone to ring. I'm doing my best to have a smooth transition from one place to another. No down time. There are other job offerings waiting for me here. However they require contracts I'm not yet willing to sign. I'd rather be offered a job and have to turn it down till a later date then putting all my eggs in one basket, waiting a few months for a call, then finding out I didn't get it to be stuck with no job, no money, and no prospects. I have a somewhat short window from when this job is completed to when I need be working somewhere else. If I don't get it I can take another offer I have. However it expires shortly after this gig is over. I didn't know how often class was nor how long between hire and start. If the answer would have been, a month or so, that would give me time to find a replacement or finish my guys and have the airforce ship the rest to colorado. I don't want to screw anyone over. Some things require planning in advance to executed properly.

WTF was I thinking???? I was thinking in advance.

I just started IOE on Monday.... and let me tell you this- when that cockpit door closes for the first, it's the most lonely feeling in the world. I kinda looked at my instructor and said "Holy bedsheets, Batman- this isn't FlightSafety!" as all my knowledge of flows, limitations and systems proceeded to bleed out of my right ear, out the DV window and onto the ramp.

That first takeoff is pretty intimidating. But it just keeps getting more and more fun after that. I really can't wait to fly the brazilian burrito again!!!! dangit, scheduling, CALL ALREADY!!!!
