The only reason I am looking atr ASA is because of their base opening at LAX. Does anyoe know what the minimums are? The site says 1200/100

Is this true because on aviationinterviews it has people with lower times than stated?

Okay, first of all you dont want a piece of my mind. And second of all, and most is important, back off. The reason that I applied for them was that I thought it would be a good opportunity. But, because I am not a moron I did some research and realized that it was in fact a basement regional, just like most if not all are. Since you want to know if I am proud of myself i will give you some background. I flight instruct full time at a reputable university. I also deal black jack 20 to 30 hours a week. Some information for you, I make more dealing black jack than you (MR. IFLYFL410) make, and I can guarantee it. What I was implying by this post was the fact that I was refusing to degrade OUR INDUSTRY by accepting a basement wage job to fly shiny jets. So in closing, YES I am proud of myself for not WH_RING out to some crank head regional just so I could fly a CRJ. Bigger and better things

So I guess you're just waiting for that job at the majors to roll around...?

Well, that's great and all, and more power to you. I also flight instructed at a reputable university, threw bags for an airline, knocked out a couple thousand hours in turboprops before that went under and here I am at ASA making a decent living, considering the circumstances here. Here's a piece of advice you might want to heed.....if you make so much money dealing blackjack, you should keep that job and fly for fun in your spare time. You'll never forgive yourself if you give up whatever amount you're apparently making to go fly airplanes for a living. And, for your sly remark suggesting that I *****d myself out to fly a jet, nothing could be further from the truth. Jets are nice, but I could care less if it were a Dash 8, Short 360 etc....you do know what those are, right?

" Klatu Barada Nicto"....maybe they found out that you were the guy that made the earth stand still....and quite frankly, driving a flying saucer is a lot different than flying an RJ...
