Whoa whoa whoa, while true and agreed on most parts, how in the world can you say CURRENT pinnacle ( or any pilot at a different airline) has influence over the hiring boards at a Major or LCC in which they do not work?

ever heard of friends, relatives or former coworkers? Lots of Pinnacle (or OAL)pilots have friends, and tons have relatives, at a major, either on the hiring board or with an influence, who they could easily call up and say "I heard Bill is applying/interviewing at your airline. He is a donkey butt I wouldn't hire him." Trust me I've done it before and it worked.

I'm sure most of us are a lot more personable in real life.

Are you kidding me? Aviation is a small world... You would be wise to remember that.

Well, I am not an idiot, we ALL have connections. Just wouldn't make claims of having influence is all.

If you'd rather share your cockpit with an internet warrior in momma's basement, go right ahead. I'll take the guy that has the balls to say to my face what he types. Preferably right before he asks for a jumpseat.

When did you get so sensitive all of a sudden? I never called nor implied you were an idiot. You asked me a question, I answered it. Now go back continue watching the Young and the Restless.
And I'm not sure who you know, must not be the right people, but if you've been involved in this industry (not just as a pilot either) for a decent amount of time, you know people with connections and influence. Especially if you have a relative in the industry.

That was kinda to both you and Anthony. Sorry... I know what you meant, I just didn't understand the claim of it being such a sure thing. Also trying to ruin someones career over the internet is a little extreme. Now if you flew with someone and knew them personally I could understand it a little more if you felt so strongly. And the second part remains to be seen Hopefully it is...but that is not the point of this.

Not saying I disagree, just saying a lot of people u probably wouldn't ever know they were the same people in real life. Also hard to detect sarcasm sometimes on here as well.
