DON FLAME SUIT
There really isn't that much. Most XJT guys understand that we had not control over it. There are few XJT guys that beleive that the flying CHQ is getting is OUR flying. Bottom line is that is CALs flying and they can do what they want with it.

CHQ pilots didn't ask bid on CALEx flying, and did not have a choice in whether or not we wanted to take up such flying. I think most XJT pilots know that, and if not, they will soon find out as their company begins to bid on and eventually recieve "someone else's flying".
We are all after growth, but growth almost always comes at someone else's expense. A stable, stagnant airline like Air Whiskey or American Eagle is not a bad thing. There is only so much flying out there.

That is true. I wouldn't say there is any genuine animosity here in IAH. Besides, we can still make fun of your airline's goofy name I can't wait to hear the IAH approach controller who always makes fun of CHQ on the radio. Whats he gonna do with all those Chaniquas and Chiquitas flying around?

I did have one friend at XJT tell me she couldn't believe we would "accept such a sh!tty contract" to do their flying...but our contract's been around way before this whole thing ever came up and it's pretty comporable to XJT's...better in some respects, worse in others...this was discussed in a previous thread awhile ago...so I'm not really sure what she was talking about.
Everyone else I know there does not have a huge problem with it. It's not like XJT is furloughing...in fact I'm pretty sure they're hiring at the same rate if not more than we are. Fact of the matter is it's a pretty even playing field and it was mainly CAL and managements decision. Now...if our flying was costing jobs at XJT, I'm pretty sure both pilot groups would be a lil' p!ssed about the situation. Short story long...no hard feelings here.
