I commuted from ORD to Bangkok for over a year.. Just moved my schedule around and dropped a lot of stuff so I had large blocks off in a row. 21-23 hours commute time with 1 stop in Tokyo or Hong Kong. If you just had 1 leg to Tokyo Narita or something like that, it would be cake.
It was actually easier and less painful than commuting domestically most of the time.. sleep in lie flat seats in first class or business, comfortable, plenty of rest time, food, movies, almost always open premium seats. Not that bad really. Seriously, more restful and relaxing than the domestic fight for jumpseats.
I prefer it to running around ORD back and forth for 7 hours trying to get on 5 or 6 different RJ jumpseats.. each one, "sorry", ok now run to the next one half a mile away on the other side of the airport, now repeat this process 5 times until you actually get on one or go buy a hotel and try again the next day. The damn RJ flights are always weight restricted anyway, always overbooked, and ungodly uncomfortable if you do get one and have to sit in the jump for nearly 4 hours. Was nice back in the day of actually having mainline flights to commute on these 3+ hour flights.

And here I thought the DTW-FLL/MIA commute was long at 6hrs. Car to employee parking lot, shuttle to South Terminal, Shuttle from South Terminal to North Terminal, 3hr flight, shuttle from terminal to train station...wow and I still have nothing on those multiple time zone international commuters.
