Northwest Decision November 30th
Northwest has said that they will announce the RFP results on November 30th. I personally think they will probably delay the announcement 10 times or so but how does everyone think it will turn out?
I think that Mesaba will be awarded some growth, probably the first 36 CRJ 900's with options for a whole lot more, and they might get the orig. 15 crjs that they were supposed to get as well.
I think Pinnacle is so up in the air now that it is tough to guess what will happen. My gut feeling says that we will get our 15 CRJ's back and thats about it. We might not even get those back and we might just stay the same size.
The only way I see anyone else being awarded flying is if Mesaba's TA gets voted down, then i think you could see Skywest bringing in their 900's under the NWA paint scheme.
Your thoughts everyone?

Thats the thing with XJ in a sense they are even more uncertain than we are.... As for skywest brining in their 900's what would be the point? NWA already has the 900's ready for use, why have someone else bring in a type of aircraft that you already have several of (that aren't being used at the moment) I think failing XJ getting the aircraft, those 900's will probably fall to 9E. Also from what I understand "Uncle Phil" has already submitted 9E's final proposal even though there is still no contract. Which I am sure includes a guess on what the new pilot compensation will be plus a small fudge factor. So my guess is that from NWA mgmt.'s stand point if 9E puts up a good bid they will win the aircraft. Worst case scenario (if 9E does get the aircraft) PT will have to either bend a little and get a contract really quick or get an LOA signed for 900 pay rates. Which may cause 9E to operate at a slightly reduced profit margin (which they can afford to do) but with the new eqiup. and larger fleet on property my guess is that the 9E stock price would still go up so ultimately PT wins.... But I guess we will all know on the 30th...... or perhaps later after 20 delays or so.

Oh, then I also heard the other day that things need to get settled with the ALPA contract at 9E, so NWA is going to shift some of that flying (including the 15 parked CRJs) to XJ to put pressure on 9E to sign on the dotted line.
What a Charlie Foxtrot! Oh, wait, then there is the issue of the 900s being converted to Q400s and those coming and...
When will it end?!
