Wrong. Since I've been at ASA we've had flying reduced and I was furloughed, we've seen airplanes go away to Skywest and GoJets and we've lost out at the time to pinnacle for their Atlanta operation. None of which resulted in butt hurt or constantly tearing down other companies employees discussions or arguments about their flying. Us rank and file have no control over these decisions

its because everyone assumes every little thing is for AA flying. You all get so giddy over it, however you need to see the other side.
The MIA for aa because of over water ops sounds great, however there is no flying out of MIA that requires that. They need bigger planes, that is what AA needs. They have too many 50 seaters, I am not even sure why they added more. Unless they can get a great deal with EMB to return the current ones for bigger ones, which that I would understand, I dont see why they would be bidding for some 50 seat feed that can fly more than 50 miles off shore. You can ALMOST fly direct from MIA to SJU without being more than 50 miles off shore.

Hmm, an SJU base would be to replace flying that another regional currently does. I know we have no control the situation and management is who makes all the moves but sitting here making comments like that reflect greatly on your character. Pilots will always be their worse enemy, everyone hope to burn the other one down so they can take the flying.
