Pinnacle is being "bought" for a song. The previous owners were crooks who skimmed money while failing to perform. DAL bought it because nobody else wanted it. Without firm agreements for lift with the consolidated legacy carriers, Pinnacle wasn't an attractive package. The purchase gives DAL the opportunity to reconfigure the airline and offer it for sale with a strong lift agreement with DAL.
Would that be this Song?

my prediction is that the 30 additional 900' options that delta has will be placed at pinnacle as well after delta completes the purchase of pinnacle. All delta management will be running the place so it will be done quickly and efficiently to get those planes online fast, as bombardier does not have a big backlog for the aircraft. After pinnacle is at 111 900's which was a 2:1 swap with 900s and 200s, they will be sold off for huge delta profits. Delta is a very smart company and industry leader in new ways to get things done.

Go Jet: $38
PSA: $37
Trans States: $38
Eagle: $39 Jet and $34 Prop

Republic: $37

Mesa: $34 Jet and $25 Prop

Okay, but after the new fleet alignment with 81 -900s, there won't BE anymore 4 year FOs. They'll be 7 or 8 year FOs. So, let's re-compare, shall we?

Pinnacle $38.58
Compass $42
Air Wisconsin $45
Go Jet $38
PSA $40
Trans States $41
Eagle $41
ExpressJet $43
Republic $37
Skywest $47
Mesa $36

*All numbers were from APC Airlines links

So, for the most part, the difference between a Pinnacle FO and most of the other regionals flying comparable equipment is the same difference between the Pinnacle FOs and FAs. Not to mention most will have more movement on their lists than Pinnacle. But, hey. "Career progression to Delta."

There was a sticker the Pinnacle MEC put out about 4 or 5 years ago it read:
Simply the best, but less then average.

So we fought and fought to get better then average pay. It's funny how fast Pinnacle pilots are going to give that slightly better then average pay back.
Why not work for free? I mean Pinnacle must be just that awesome.
Oh and the union is supporting that worse than average pay, but 4 years ago they were fighting against it.
Unity.

PCLCREW have you not been following along what has happened this past year. We don't have any money, Phil made many bad business decisions and this is todays reality. This MEC was also the MEC that stood up for us and said we are not taking pay cuts before BK. They just don't give in for no reason. What specifically has this MEC done that you distrust them so much. I want some solid examples or just stop whining.

The 900's can only follow the dilevery of the 717's. So they can not just "quick" stack the airline with 111 -900's. But yes the "end game" will be to sell them for a profit...
