WOW! I didnt realize the situation was what it is...unreal. Heads up guys. At least youre not in my seat...left skyw for the dream corporate job, and got the boot one month after a major bonus, and now looking to get back in. It could be worse. The future is uncertain, but what we do for ourselves is not.

You can always apply and see for yourself, but I'd try Skywest again. Good luck to ya.

Well now that FOQ is finished, the excess instructors is not required. Putting all the FOs through a 2 week long process with 5 total sim sessions I think required more than the average PC.

Also, to give my buddy RJ Pilot some more fuel: How many of those have actually became line qualified and are now active pilots? I heard a general number was ~8-10 per class but sometimes only 3 or 4 making it to the line. Some just didnt make it, some got offers at Republic/elsewhere and some just didnt show to class on some days.

Sky is falling, 20 CRJ NY CA vacancies with 0 displacements! Net gain of 20 CA as the summer winds down and we park all our airplanes!

Sounds to me like we're going to see an influx of CRJ airframes in our fleet

RJ Pilot got a shout out over on Eagle Lounge as being a re-posting troll.

The circle of life is complete.

Probably attrition only - EMJ attrition is covered by shrinkage. CRJ attrition needs new bodies.

some of the numbered flow through pilots and most senior of the 824 are CRJ pilots. if they leave for aa, eagle does not need a displacement bid when they will be leaving for aa, all you need is a vacancy bid.

company knows who is leaving because they have a flow list with your selection to flow or stay already made, granted the pilot can change there minds but they know at least 50 percent of those selected to flow will be leaving. So no need for a displacement bid which has a domino effect through out the company generating excessive training cost. Run lean until they start flowing then run vacancy bid only. Just an opinion.

To vouch for this, my class had 8 people.. 7 made it to sim (1 stayed home to deal with family matters and was coming back later, supposedly), 1 washed out in sim, and 2 others quit... so yes, 4 of our 8 made it to this line.
