Just heard from a good source that after 5 months, it's LESS than 100 pilots hired. That's WITH the $5000 bonuses. I still stand by my prediction of a devastating tsunami crashing into the regionals due to little interest in flying for regional carriers as new-hires. In 12-18 months, I predict outright liquidation for some regionals who simply cannot maintain a going concern due to lack of crews. It takes years to cultivate a pilot for entry level and the well is BONE DRY. The idiots running the industry have been whistling past the cemetery for too long.

The regional industry is ****ed.

Like I said............ popcorn, cold beer, a comfortable chair and high ground. The screaming chaos of drowning airline executives splashing around and crying for their mommies when it hits full force will be like something out of a Hitchcock movie. The wave is so close they should be able to feel the spray and they still have no clue. Poor little airline executives............RIP.

85 new hires so far. I said it before. They say we are getting the hiring quota, but is mainly because of FOQ is getting all the sim time.

I do think that in 18months things will get interesting.
