New flow plan is out, it has all upgrading FO in training by AUG 2013, this includes the leftover from two bids ago who were scheduled for the fall and all the ones from the last bid. That is 100 upgrades starting training in less than 3 months. It also has all current new hires finishing training by Aug, so most guys who have been going home will be in class very soon. Looks like it will be a busy summer at the school house. Before RJ Chimes in this good for us as we were anticipating the movement to go slower than this. Looks like the training pipeline will be cleared up by AUG. currently the school house is hiring instructors and the bases are hiring check airman in part as we will see check airman and instructors head to AA but also to account for increase in training.

Hopefully the movement continues but we still don't have a defined plan. We do have our union "talking" with management about out cost. Fun summer ahead.
I moved 62 numbers up in may only. If we keep it this way I bet we will start seeing 2010 hires getting upgrades by summer 2014.

This is just my guess...

Something has to give, either we are sending a huge amount of pilots to AA or we are not parking as many airplanes. But they are sending many upgrades to class in 2 weeks with a steady stream every two weeks.

They should started the upgrades at least by January. But they always wait till the last moment. Apparently they didn't learned from summer 2011.

At least now with FO with PIC Types, the training should be quicker.
To give them credit, I believe the school house has been saturated with FOQ stuff. That explains why we are seeing the upgrades finally going to class in Jun and July, once FOQ is complete. If anything, it's a little proactive - send the people to long term while FOQ is still finishing up, so when the upgrades hit the sims, FOQ should just be completed.

I heard USAir is talking with our MEC about doing a "B" scale on eagle, but all the current pilots would be protected by the current contract. Also in exchange for screwing the new hires all Eagle pilots would have AA seniority.

Don't know if is true but, I heard it on AA JS.

That's what you said when the last 75 upgrades were g
Awarded, then you said that they would drag it out... Flow plan comes out and everyone who has an upgrade awarded will be in training by Aug. I don't trust management but currently they are unblocking open time, JM pilots and canceling flights due to lack of CA. Company knows they are short and will be sending pilots to upgrade training in the next 3 months.

You are absolutely correct, but at the same time you need to take a step back and relax. You have an agenda on here to scare as many people as possible, is as it pleases you spread doom and gloom.

The flow plan doesn't constitute an official notification but why would AMR create a flow plan completing all new hires who have been sent home by Aug and having all current upgrades in training by August to just say oh guys we were joking?!?! Things are not rosy and but man you need to stop with all the doom and gloom as it discredits you. You used to bring great point and make good conversation but fornthenlast few months you have gone over the deep end.

Thats just the reality.
But where is that reality stated? We have been told that 135's are being returned and that we will have 230 airframes at years end. We have upgrades and guys going to AA as we continue our 25-30 new hires a month. We have also been told that we would get airplanes but who knows! We have been told that we are expensive by new management while the current management said thanks for playing but there is a new sherif in town. With that said we don't know how many airframes we will have.

The same can be said for other regionals. Some are getting new airplanes but they don't know how many total airframes they will have.
