I say let them bring the pay down, they soon will find themself parking airplanes cause they can't staff them... The question is who is more stupid? Us pilots for continuing to fly this airplanes for minimum wages or them for insulting our intelligence and paying this pathetic wages.. LOL. Only time will tell. Good Luck

So they order planes - nothing says they can't move them later
RLA did not have this in mind when passed

They may because they can. They can drop the pay scale almost as low as they want and regionals will still find people to operate the airplanes. When it comes down to "rubber meeting the road" pilots back down EVERY time. History will repeat itself.

How is this a question? Mainline is not insulting us by paying pathetic wages...lmao . Buinsess 101...You pay your employee's just enough to keep them. I.E. you only pay them what supply and demand requires and what it takes to keep them, that is all. Supply and demand may trend in our favor in time but Harvard buisness men / women are very good at coming up with ways to offset such things.

70-90 Tops.
From the last ALPA seniority list (may 9), they've hired 85 so far. So you are correct.

Me neither, AE management is always behind in the staffing ball game!

They should started the upgrades at least by January. But they always wait till the last moment. Apparently they didn't learned from summer 2011.

At least now with FO with PIC Types, the training should be quicker.

New flow plan is out, it has all upgrading FO in training by AUG 2013, this includes the leftover from two bids ago who were scheduled for the fall and all the ones from the last bid. That is 100 upgrades starting training in less than 3 months. It also has all current new hires finishing training by Aug, so most guys who have been going home will be in class very soon. Looks like it will be a busy summer at the school house. Before RJ Chimes in this good for us as we were anticipating the movement to go slower than this. Looks like the training pipeline will be cleared up by AUG. currently the school house is hiring instructors and the bases are hiring check airman in part as we will see check airman and instructors head to AA but also to account for increase in training.

Hopefully the movement continues but we still don't have a defined plan. We do have our union "talking" with management about out cost. Fun summer ahead.
