It won't work for them as they think. They will be losing seniority just for keep waiting.

I will apply to AA, if they don't call me, at leasty seniority will keep going up.. My philosophy is "go to the one that hires you first", but to do that you have to stay prepared for interview anywhere.

I feel sorry for these guys in reality.

Quick question and sorry if answered elsewhere. I know about the flow through for captains to AA, and read somewhere where FOs at Eagle could apply to AA once they had been at Eagle for a year. Is this a hard requirement or are there some exceptions? I have interviews with both Eagle and XJT this week and next week, but if I could not apply to AA when/if they start hiring because I was at Eagle for less than 12 months that would be a deal breaker.

Technically, you could apply to AA anytime once a window is open. Realistically, unless you're part of the Eagle-AA flow mechanism, you'll not likely get consideration from AA as an Eagle pilot. Since future AA classes will already be over-represented by Eagle pilots, it will be rare for additional pilots from Eagle to be added to classes. Thus if you're goal is AA, then I think Eagle is your worst option. If its only ONE of your goals as opposed to another legacy or LCC, then go for the quickest upgrade, which still may not favor Eagle as they'll be whipsawed against other regionals and the number of replacement aircraft for departing EMB's they'll be allocated will be dependent upon additional concessions.

Probably so, but I have been looking for full time work for nearly 2 years without a call from anyone, so can't be picky right now. Sounds like XJT may be a better option to go to and wait for the majors to hire.

What are they? Just curious, with Skywest and Compass not hiring the only ones not seemed to be frowned upon are Expressjet or maybe AWAC?

You might be forgetting Air Whiskey. Just got offered a class with them. They definitely have some of the best benefits you will see in the Regional game.

ya I did. All regionals are very unknown. AWAC also is unknown past 2015 big time. Also the flight bennies are not as good as working for a regional owned by a major, not even close. However pay and qol are life great at AWAC and seen as a good group of people.
