Eagle to hire 600+ in 2013!
#691
1. Numbered guys are going, true. But NOT all of them.
2.When AA hires, the 824's might go. Lets see when that actually happens.
3.Flow up program is another lure to attract prospects.
4.Parking planes, no fleet plan. No future.
5."Hiring" instructors not really, they are actually on SA. to help finish the FOQ deadline and help with the ATR's displacements. After that, back to the line they go.
6. 75 CA vac, well, we will just have to see if that happens. They can post anything they want, but they can cancel them as they wish. It has happened in the past.
This is the reality.

1. When is all said and done most numbered guys could have flowed (over 50%)
2. The 824 could happen happen without new hires. It's was arbitrated in court and so far AMR has complied with the guidance
3. Flow up is a minimum of 35%, since eagle will be decimated and everyone else will take the flying that means as per the agreement Eagle pilots will occupy most of the spots in class.
4. The instructors on SA are being offered permanent positions, most ATR displacements are going to the ERJ and most are or have completed training.
5. 75 captain vacancies can be cancelled, or can happen but looking at how many Captains are being JM, RSV zeroing out most days and OT being blocked. We were losing 8 captains per month on average with accounting for the flow it seems to me like they might need guys in the left seat. This is taking into account the loss of airplanes in 2013.
Also with RAH haing the staffing problems they are having do you really think they will deploy 47 that quickly, because Eagle is covering flying for EXJ in DFW as they are not able to complete them all.
We shall see what the future holds, is not rosy nut is not the end of the world. All regionals are having their issues, we are in BK and another is growing... Take your pick of the best regional today and we will see tomorrow.
I am going to go enjoy my weekend, enjoy your doom and gloom Internet life!!!

Just to be clear, so if I'm a FO at Eagle can I still apply to AA on my own without using the interview deal at 2k hrs? So if my experience already meets what AA is looking for and they call I'm not locked into the whole 2k hrs deal.......or by working at Eagle are you forbidden from apply to AA on your own (not relying on the 2k deal).......
