Getting DFW should not be hard, even if you dont get it day one, you should have it before you end training or soon after. This is subject to change, but historically when we are hiring, people get the base they want prior to finishing ioe.

The company had an "exiting announcement" today, we are all getting email accounts @AA.com.... YAY

In all seriousness, they are getting more people in class but we are still status quo, the Union issues are getting track and they are trying to stall it. We have almost 10 folks starting class at AA on Wednesday with a group being offered class in a few weeks as well. Other than that there is no more updates.

*Rumor has it that we are not returning the ERJ135s as fast as originally scheduled but I have not seen it in writing. AA has until May 29th to summit a plan of reorganization, this will be the 18 month mark in bankruptcy and is also the latest AA has to publish it, maybe before then we will see a plan on writing, if not hopefully then.

Boys, girls. Relax. Our friend RJ is talking about me, quote, washing out end quote, of training. You see. I'm looking to get back into the world of 121 and I had mentioned that I have a stable and well paid flying job currently and was unsure if I was going to accepting my class offer of April 15 because it seems like things are a little rocky at AE. According to RJ that means I washed out.

That's about the same time you told me you talked to my chief pilot and knew who I worked for. But you still can't seem to come up with any names when asked.

Hahahahahahaha how many times I have to tell you???!!!!

Don't listen to RJ and I will add to the list:

-eaglefly (some guy that flew to AA and now he "knows everything"

-wingtips (he/she thinks who eaglefly is and blah blah blah)

Your career is your career if you want to go somewhere do it. We don't know if we made good career decisions until the day we retire.

Good luck with everything...I think I still own you a PM about some questions you asked me before...

A Message from President and CEO Dan Garton
Dear American Eagle Team:
I wanted to update you on two items that have been front and center for many of you in recent weeks ? the Republic Airlines capacity purchase agreement and our fleet plan.
The Republic Capacity Purchase Agreement
As you may know, the Bankruptcy Court recently approved American?s capacity purchase agreement with Republic Airlines. We will begin to see Republic aircraft flying for American in August as a part of the summer schedule, with additional aircraft being added with the August schedule change for September.
How does this impact our operation? Four of Eagle?s CRJ-700s will move from Chicago to New York, effective Aug. 27. Based on the rule of thumb that we need approximately five crews per aircraft, this schedule change will result in approximately 20 Captains and 20 First Officers being displaced from the CRJ in ORD, with about an equal number of vacancies opening in New York. Some additional flight attendants will also need to transfer to New York to accommodate this movement. We will not be closing or suspending our operation at ORD or any other pilot or flight attendant domiciles. We are still evaluating the impact of the relocated CRJs on our maintenance program, but it is not expected to be significant. The current plan is for all regional ORD ground operations to be handled by Eagle employees. Therefore, no reductions or displacements are expected for fleet service clerks or agents.
We believe more CRJ-700s will be reallocated from Chicago to other markets toward the end of 2013 as additional Republic aircraft come into service. Details on these specific movements are not available at this time, but will be communicated to you as soon as they are known.
Fleet Plan
The effort to select and purchase large regional jets for the American network is ongoing. We hoped this acquisition would have occurred by now, but the process became more complex as the needs of the new, post-merger American are now being considered. We are completely focused on solidifying Eagle?s fleet plan in the coming weeks.
I want to stress that even though we are operating in a different environment than we have previously, we are a strong company and I am confident we will continue to play a significant and vital role in the network of the new American. With the August schedule change for September we will begin phasing out seven of our smaller EMB-135 aircraft ? six scheduled and one spare ? in preparation for fall returns to the lessor. Based on current projections, including the gradual phase out of the EMB-135s, we will be flying more than 220 jets at year end. For some context, our fleet will still be two times larger than any other airline fleet contracted to serve the American and US Airways network.
At the same time, I want to remind every Eagle employee that our success today and in the future depends on our ability to deliver safe and high-quality service to our customers at the lowest possible cost, each and every day. We must all work together to show the new American why American Eagle has been such a reliable and stable partner ? a partner American has entrusted with a significant portion of its business for many years. I am confident they will recognize the value American Eagle brings to the combined company.
In 2012, thanks to the efforts of all of you, and despite the challenges presented by our restructuring, we delivered some of the best controllable completion, A+14 and baggage performance in our carrier?s history. Let?s continue to focus on providing outstanding service to American and our ground-handling partners so we can retain and win more business going forward.
Regards,

Dan
