+1 at ultralights post.

As bad as some airlines may be needing pilots, there's no reason to give HR a chance at second guessing ur app.

I'll recommend Shepard Air. I did the ATP written the old fashioned way several years ago. That took forever. Got an 88 (I think). Contacted Shepard Air, about a year ago. Knocked out the ATP in a few days, the score was something like 93. I was in and out of the test facility super fast, too.

If you don't do it via Sheppard air you are wasting your time and money

Yep got a 99 and took 21 minutes to complete. Best money spent.

FO's have been bailing for USair, Jetblue, Virgin, Spirit, Corporate, ExPAT Overseas, Home Depot, etc..

Don't need PIC time for these jobs..

Really? Junior F.O's are going to USair, Jetblue, and Virgin? Where are the senior captains going, the international space station?

Please don't start the Mcdonalds / Home Depot arguement. Even year 1 F.O's earn more than year 1 fast food restaurant workers, and flying a jet is more rewarding than flipping burgers.

Yes really. If FO's have 3000-4000 hours they are getting hired elsewhere and leaving.. I am seeing FO's hired at those places every week now.

Most Senior CA's aren't going anywhere. They are entrenched here like they have been for they last 20 years and will ride this job out until they retire or die. They don't want to leave, they don't apply anywhere. They like their 100K+ and good schedules. They aren't interested in going to start over at 30-40K and reserve again. I have had this conversation with hundreds of them. Mid-seniority on down are the ones leaving or actively trying to leave, mainly FO's. Even most CA's seem to be waiting around for this flow through which keeps them here indefinitely. Not many CA's are even applying to leave.. some are, but definitely not a high % like you would think.

and flying a jet is more rewarding than flipping burgers.
..and flying a regional jet for years as an FO for a $987 paycheck after taxes, with fatiguing schedules isn't very rewarding either, at all. The reason I mentioned Home Depot is because I know several FO's who have left for other regular 9-5 jobs back at home.. they are tired of this crapped on lifestyle and had enough..
