Red is quite accurate and we are not talking military because military has a contract for everything.

So lets say you sign up for 2 years, then bail after 12 months. Would you give them $2,500 back? or would you give them the full $5,000 back?

Also, what are the current upgrade time requirements there?

While I'm asking, if American still has over 1,000 pilots out there on furlough, why would Eagle be flowing pilots to them as early as March?

Just wanted to add that we'll be going paperless this year too. That's right electronic Jepps on the iPad. We're finally in the 6 month small test phase and the company is making gradual changes to our manuals to reflect this as well. We can already go paperless on our flight and aircraft manuals, except for a few things that must be carried. I can't wait to drop the 40# kit bag!
As for the AA furloughees, I think they can defer coming back for so long and still keep their recall rights, so that's what many have been doing. But let's face it, many will probably not be coming back.

Also from what I understand, the "bonus" is pro-rated so you only need to repay based upon that.

Because around 230ish have seniority number at AA and are more senior than some furlough pilots.

After that we have 824 which will go to AA once they start hiring. After those the protected pilots go (anyone hired before 10/2011 is part of the group).

If we start furloughing they have to get more people over AA.

OK, so you guys have some American furloughs flying at Eagle right now that will go back to the mother ship when called upon, correct?
I have to be honest, Eagle isn't looking too bad right now. Why wouldn't you just take the $5k and keep it in a savings account in case you want to bail?

Any complaints with the health insurance?

At eagle we have a handful, around 20 guys who are furloughs from AA (flow backs). But we also have 230ish eagle pilots who have hold jumpers on the AA seniority list but have never made it to AA, these guys will have the option to flow or stay in the next few months. The bottom few hundred on the AA list is made up the most junior AA folks, TWA pilots and Eagle guys. They are mixed.

Someone asked a few pages back about what the requirements are with regard to recent flight experience. They like to see at least 100 hours flown in the past 12 months.

Is there any word as to how many classes are running at once, and how many people there are per class? I'm not sure I understand how the math of what's been said here adds up to 600. Perhaps they are going to create a pool of 600 in 2013?
