The jacket is gone. Thanks, and I hope for the best for my former Eagle fliers!

Who told you months in advance Eagle was getting E175's, and who told you days in advance the number was 150 of them in play.... To the point of even telling you it was 60/90.

Yeah, you're right. I'm not reliable.
When will eagle be receiving their 175s?

Why would an airline deliberately undercut themselves by giving one regional a huge advantage over the others? It seems to me like the moves they're making are meant to stabilize and preserve the current regional model, not destroy it. United is rumored to be working on flow through agreements with all of their regionals not just a select few.

I think in the future it won't matter which regional you go to because they'll all have the same paths to mainline. You pick the one that works for you or is closest to where you live and your time spent there will be like one long probationary period. Interviews and selection won't matter so much because by the time anyone actually "flows" they will have been thoroughly vetted for years. This is just my guess on where the industry is going.
A flow-thru is significantly different from what they want to do. If successful, it will be industry shattering and set a whole new standard. Every other "regional" will suffer massive virtual overnight attrition as qualified proven pilots beat a bee-line for Eagle/AA.
The ensuing attrition will force industry consolidation on proportions not ever seen before.

That said, there are obstacles, and nothing is guaranteed. However, they do have a clear plan, and have been taking the steps necessary to implement their agenda and attain their objectives.

From what you've said it sounds like your idea is a B scale with a fence. AA hires pilots who start at AE on the 175 as a B scale APA pilot. Obviously there will be a side door for squadron buddies, sons/daughters, minorities to skip the AE job and go straight to mainline. While I agree with you it would cause a lot of people to apply at AE it's hardly industry shattering. B scales have been done before and the idea has been thrown around between APA and AE ALPA a few times in the past.

Your idea would be good for a lot of guys at AE so I hope it actually happens but I think the chances are extremely slim.

Nope, not a B scale. It's still a regional after all. They're just creating a clear way of filling every Eagle class with new hires during a pilot shortage.
50% of EVERY AA new hire class forever will be filled from Eagle flow thru's
That's the deal they're going to sell the Eagle pilots within the next 10 days.

I hear Glass (Airways bigwig) has a history of intentionally sending bad things just before important holidays or on Friday afternoons.

They'll get 190 planes
Flow thru for all
They'll lose
12/4 longevity scales
Per Diem freeze
401k contribution changes
Vacation
Lose 30 something million credit from some partial contract revision period after 4 years and lose the ability to negotiate more pay
There's more, but you should all know soon The company plans to spring the offer on them next Friday.

When you say "they", you mean us at Eagle? Who will lose?

If that's the carrot I'd hate to see the stick!

For your reference, the 30ish million you speak of of is a clause in the current contract that adjusts longevity to the 2nd lowest regional in the industry whom operates 150 airframes or more. There is a 30 something million dollar credit applied to that adjustment. This adjustment is set to take place around the midpoint of the 8 year contract, spring 2016.
