No one is going to apply to Eagle, no reason to. They may have wanted to hire 600 but there aren't 600 prospective regional pilots out there who don't know eagle is a sinking ship.

Looks like they need to either increase compensation or lower their standards.

Actually Scott Kirby said to do the opposite, decrease compensation and increase standards as everyone deserves career movement away from the regionals, that a flow is the way to go. There is a video about it.

That ain't gonna happen. Flying will continue to transfer back to mainline and a few other regionals.

At AA flight isn't being transfered back to the mainline. Republic has been taking AA flying + Eagle flying in ORD.

When I was hired in 2011, my class was 28 people and people talked about how it was one of the largest classes. A few weeks later, there was a class of 40.

This was going on every 2 weeks.

Also, RAH is having no problem filling their classes to the max. Makes sense - if you could fly the mighty 175, wouldn't you give up everything for a chance?

this makes no sense. how would decreasing our pay help us flow or have a decent career in the majors? it would only make life more miserable for those of us working in the regionals.

This is exactly what the PSA folks just did! So it's paying for management.

eagle is interviewing, turning you down then sending you paper work to republic and you get a call with a job offer from republic. eagle sucks and republic sucks more.
