It's not career progression unless numbers are assigned at signing and 100% of AA classes are Eagle pilots. 20-25 new hires a month doesn't do anything. This airline is shrinking and the "flow" is just to get weak minded/willed morons to pass concessionary deals.

I wouldn't call it morons, but yes management exploits the weak minded. And when you have been beaten down for the last two years people tend to break down, management is looking to capitalize

If you believe 20-25 flows a month improves your career you're a moron, plain and simple. I've been here the last 2 years and they haven't beaten me down. I'm no stronger than anyone else, the guys beat down are pathetic. People need to take a stand for their livelihood.

So where does the estimate for total hired in 2013 stand now? I stopped paying attention to this subject mid-year when they had about 100 new hires and it looked like a ploy.

The company isn't giving anything, your argument makes no sense. They're offering something we already have in exchange they want to take things away. I know America has fallen a lot recently but I don't think the majority of people are that dumb.

As far as hired for the year, no idea. They were running 2 classes of 5 per month.

This isn't exactly true. They're struggling as well as everyone else. Just ask the Q captains who are being forced to fly in the right seat.

Do you have a higher flow rate? How about replacement airplanes? Do new hires have an agreement similar to the 824? You and I know that these things hold little value in the current environment we sit in, but for many this is a huge "gain" in the eyes. If you don't believe, ask Sooner who he is willing to take cuts for shinny airplanes!
