Should he have concern?....Yes. I understand it's not a guaranteed seat and that sucks, but deal with it instead of whining like so many on here do. Too many pilots, hit the seat in the plane and start to cry and that carries over onto this board, which is unfortunate.

It's just a fact of the business at many airlines, and I have yet to hear of someone thinking they have the right to get that guaranteed seat. I know of many stories of getting to and from the interview or medicals, and I understand it's frustrating but that's life.

Thanks for the feedback, I know buying a ticket could provide a better chance of getting there on time, this was simply an apology to the company (public) in the event that I don't arrive at the scheduled time. I have the commander to get there on my own as another (expensive) option. Clearly the decision rests with me.

BTW - I flew under an airline provided reservation to Denver to interview at Great Lakes and back home in July (limitations applied).

Positive seat going to skywest and expressjet interviews,it is nice to know that you have a seat .. It takes some stress off your mind insted of wonder if you are gonna make it or not... Not to mention the stress just the interview puts on you! Just my two cents.

By all means you can fly your plane, but you have a very good chance of getting there on AA/Eagle equipment. They typically give you a backup depending on where you're flying out of. So even if you miss the first, there's a second or even third, or forth option.

More often than not, you get a seat. It has been this way for years and overall has not been a problem...the system works for the most part. I think you're just thinking too much into this, you will most likely get a seat and have no problems.

If hired and you plan on commuting, this will persistently be a point of contention. The only aspect that helps at that point is that you can ride the jumpseat. Just keep this in mind.

Scratch the idea of commuting, unless you want to be away from home 5 nights a week. The 4 day lines are mostly early starts and late finishes. We have a company letter that says we can expect this to be the norm going forward. Remember, it's a "perk," and a choice. No expectations.

Either move to base or be prepared to burn out quickly.

How many RJs has Eagle parked since filling bankruptcy and how many do they plan to park in 2013 and 2014?

So far to my knowledge we have parked 10 planes this year with 1 more to go. All of which were the 135s. The 140s were suppose to start being parked, but they are now saying they won't start parking those until late next year at the earliest. As of 9/23/2013 Eagle has hired roughly 130 guys. A far cry from the 600 they wanted.

The real movement will happen if they accelerate the parking of the ERJ's.
I'm sorry where did someone ask about how many people have flowed, quit, retired and etc? Or anything to do with the 824? Move along troll.

He's not trolling, trying to get it through everyone's thick head that they shouldn't be applying here. Sadly companies like GoJet and Great Lakes have gotten applicants forever and I'm sure we will also. The stupidity in this industry is astounding.
