Thank god, I hope that sentiment spreads.

Default Interview Packet

The interview packet offers a standby flight to DFW with no guarantee a seat will be open on the day before the interview is scheduled...No certainty for a seat back home after the interview.

My apologies if I don't make it to the interview, but I'm not dropping a dime for a reserved seat.

And that is how you will be treated if hired.

I keep seeing this, what a joke company. Why are people even putting their apps in here?

Umm pretty standard for the regional world. Was the samething when I interviewed at Air Whisky and Commutair.

What do you think they should do? Here's a suggestion, drop the sense of entitlement before you go into the interview.

This is very normal, at least at the regional level. Nobody is asking you to drop a dime for a reserved seat. And I'm nearly positive it will work out just fine. There are times where it doesn't and all you do is catch the next one, but more often than not you get on (and before someone refutes this, yes I'm aware sometimes it does not work so well for the potential candidate).

And for Bzzt and RJ, you guys have become so ridiculous it's funny. This has been happening for years...nothing new here. Let's not start making stuff up (not that you don't already) to make things look worse.

I swear, they could come out today and say all Eagle pilots have AA numbers with seniority and you two would b*@ch about that.

And one more suggestion to you pnwchief22, if you think this practice is bad or unacceptable, you would be better off NEVER coming to ANY regional, let alone Eagle. You need to wake up my friend and educate yourself before you start spouting off like you're deserving of some guaranteed seat, regardless of airline.

As an employee, you don't even get guaranteed seats on company equipment even when the company is repositioning you, unless it's a A1 pass.

Actually it is pathetic. You all preach holding this high standard and thus professionalism. Funny AE wouldn't treat a professional pilot applicant with a guaranteed seat to interview. I mean even that crappy PSA guarantee a seat to and from an interview.

And this coming from Meyers, who was one of the biggest cheerleaders of the PSA contract that they agreed to, means ABSOLUTELY nothing because you have ZERO credibility or respect.

Riiight. And accusing an applicant of an entitlement mentality speaks well for you. He has a very valid concern and HE is 100% correct. Yet you rather tell him he isn't. Things that make you go hmmmm.
