Yes? Where is the confusion? Not all but a high end wide body captain with some OT can clear 300k

Apparently his math skills are "lacking"...

A guy I fly with frequently on the 320 crossed the 300k mark back in September... So, yes.

As bottom lineholder, I average 17 days off.

My pay scale is $31/hour. 2nd year pay at UA is $90/hour. Hence why I said I could do the same thing for a 300% pay raise. I'm a super junior FO here. I'd rather be a super junior FO making $90/hour.

I think the "networking" thing is the worst part about this industry honestly. It's not about your qualifications but how much you've prostituted yourself and brown nosed. Yes I have 1 rec at both UAL and DAL but I felt disgusting even asking.
Eagle had 10 year upgrades when I got hired at 9E, too.

Networking is in every industry and in every job sector. It's hardly prostituting yourself and brown nosing. People helped me, I have helped and will continue to pay it forward. Felt disgusting asking? How immature. Any worthwhile job will have a lot of applicants. Someone vouching for you goes a ways in vetting you as not a d-bag no one wants to fly with.

Amen. A lot of people seem to forget that at one time, they had 250hrs.

^^This. Well articulated.
By the way, I spoke at length with someone on the interview team at AA tonight. A letter of rec will do NOTHING to get a pilot an interview, but it will weigh heavily during the decision process. It basically tells them that others can live with you for days on end in a cockpit and on a layover.

I don't need anyone's charity, I have pride and want to stand on my merits not my ability to convince others to write recs.

80kts if you're on a narrow body with 17 days off as a bottom line holder wherever you're at had a lot better schedules than AA does. Not surprising though, AMR is a joke.

My mistake on the pay, I had thought the days of 300k a year at the airlines died with UALs bk.

I find that strange and immature about the pride thing. That's a great way to add a number of extra years at a regional. I did get a cold call with no recs from WN, so it does happen. As hiring picks up over the next few years, it'll likely be more commonplace. At the beginning of the wave, virtually no one gets a call without a rec.

I don't know much about AA-that's not a company I ever wanted to work for. DL schedules have been like this ever since I've been here, and I got hired while still in CH11.

Quick question: Who is going to fly the 175s for American? Was it just Republic, or did AE get a chunk of that flying too?
